How to Use the Peptide Calculator

Quickly and accurately reconstitute and measure lyophilized peptides with this streamlined calculator and step-by-step guide.

Supplies Needed

  • Peptide Vial
  • Sterile Water 5mL+
  • Syringe 1-5mL+ to Add Sterile Water
  • Syringe 0.3-2mL to Extract Mixed Peptide Solution

Add Sterile Water to Lyophilized (Dry) Peptide

  1. Enter the mass of the peptide in the vial in milligrams (mgs).
  2. Enter the volume of sterile water you are adding in the calculator.
  3. Add the water to the peptide vial.
  4. Mix the peptide vial by rolling it in the air until uniform.

Withdraw Reconstituted (Wet) Peptide from Vial

  1. Enter how much peptide to withdraw from the vial in micrograms (mcg).
  2. Enter the volume of the syringe used to withdraw reconstituted (wet) peptide from the vial.
  3. Note the red tick mark on the calculator.
  4. Take the sringe and fill with air up to the red mark indicated by the calculator.
  5. Take the vial and hold upside with the crimp to facing the floor. Insert the syringe, push in air, then withdraw peptide solution up to the amount indicated by the red mark in the calculator.
  6. Withdraw the syringe from the vial.
